Expungement

Expungement is the sealing of a criminal record so it is not publicly available.

Depending on the offense and a person's past criminal history, it will be determined whether an individual may qualify for expungement, protecting them from the damaging effects of a public criminal record. Even if your record is sealed, a subsequent criminal offense could result in the sealed record being opened per the statute.

If you’re unsure if you qualify for expungement, you need to consult with an attorney to assist you in the process.

Robert M. Dumes is an experience criminal defense attorney who will work to understand the facts of your case to determine whether or not you qualify for expungement.
